There are many threads on chicken and recipes. Let's see how many different replies with new chicken recipes we can get. I always love to try new things with chicken. So here's mine:
Jerk Chicken from this weekend
The key to this recipe is to let the chicken marinate for 24 hours.
In bowl add the dry ingredients first:
I tbsp of allspice, nutmeg, cinammon, salt, garlic powder
2 tsps of black pepper, sugar and thyme
chop - 4 green onions, 1 medium white onion and 4 habenero chile (Note: I like it hot so also add cayene pepper - if you do not like spicy can omit peppers al together) then add liquid -
First wisk in 1/4 cup of olive oil, then 1/4 cup of soy sauce, then 3/4 cup of white distilled vinegar, and squeeze juice of one lime.
I will clean and put chicken pieces in quart ziploc baggie first - then pour this marinade over the chicken and put in refrigerate for at least 24 hours. Pull out of refrigerator 30 minutes prior to grilling. Grill chicken and enjoy!
