"I think it helps to keep busy."
That may sum up this discussion group's motto. I personally have found that a useful and satisfying activity helps in all times and types of stress including the grieving process.
You may think it strange that a batchelor in recent years has two physical activities that helps him in time of stress. For me, cutting wood as an outdoor activity when weather permits, works and for indoor relief, I turn to "rehabilitating" my kitchen cabinets and counter of an accumulated clutter and rinsed but unwashed dishes.
Thanks for your update and suggestions. I agree with you but of course, as the old saying goes, "to each his own" which suggests what works for one may not be suitable for another.
