In Response to The Holidays and Grieving, Coping, Remembering by BettyCM
When you have lost someone, the holidays are stressful, because you remember , and you grieve , all over again. If you have lost a spouse, a parent or a child in the past year the grief will wash over you again, as if it just occorred. But, remember, you have great grief Because you had great love for them , and they for you.
One of the best ways to keep from getting too down during this season, is just to stay busy, and stay connected. Remember that there are people in your life today, who need you, and want to hear from you. We all need to hear from others, even just "hello" is a kindness you can give, and it helps you, too, to keep yourself involved in living.
I have a friend to visit this season. Choose one friend to visit, and spend some time with them , enjoying the holiday.
