When we were still there, there weren't any fast food franchises in town. You could get a steamed hotdog at Woolworth's, you could get a hamburger at (was it "Hamburger Heaven"? On Middle Neck Road?) Or a pastrami sandwich at the Squire deli. No, there was also "Peter Pan" up by the bakery east of the station, and of course the station "grill" or whatever they called it. I have no idea what resources they may have had up north, around St. Aloysious or the Arlington School. Where else could you get fast food in GN forty years ago?
