In Washington, the Democrats are literally becoming unhinged over the prospects of defunding Obamacare!
The Democrats don't seem to understand we want to defund this bill so we can replace it with something better that will serve the health care needs of all Americans.
"When we talk about the Affordable Care Act, we mostly focus on the millions of Americans who will gain health insurance coverage. We talk less about the millions who will remain uninsured. Thirty million is a lot smaller than the 48.6 million Americans who lack insurance coverage right now. It's also, as Woolhandler points out, not exactly breaking news: The Congressional Budget Office estimated over a year ago that between 26 million and 27 million Americans would not have insurance under the ACA expansion."
California Democrat to Sen. Ted Cruz aide: "I hope your kids 'die from debilitating, painful and incurable diseases' after vote against Obamacare."
A Twitter debate on policy turned ugly Friday, when a local Democratic official wished the children of a Republican aide to Sen. Ted Cruz would "die from debilitating, painful and incurable diseases" after she praised the House's vote to derail funding for Obamacare.
Amanda Carpenter, who formerly worked for Sen. Jim DeMint before heading to the Texas Republican's office, praised the GOP-led action in a tweet.
"GOP beat gun control, changed Obama's mind on Syria, is holding the line on amnesty. We can defund Obamacare, too!" she posted early Friday afternoon.
"Buy a shotgun. Buy a shotgun!"
Vice President Joe Biden
Obama care hit home to me this week. I work in a 25 bed hospital that has had the same insurance for many years. This year our premiums were to go up $57000 a month for our group. This is Obama care at work. We are now in limbo if we will have insurance or not, let alone affordable. Could you please report on these real world outcomes instead of being a cheerleader for government!
