As a subscriber to Time magazine I am moved to tears at their latest issue of a young Afghan woman who paid a heavy penalty for fleeing an abusive husband. Excuse me for repeating this discussion here as it is most appropriate everywhere for anyone opposing the subjugation and slavery of women in some parts of the world.
"The very detailed and graphic picture of an Afghan woman featured on the cover of the latest issue of Time magazine tells us that savagery and discrimination, especially against women, still exists in some parts of the world.
What could possibly justify cutting of a woman's nose and ears in a civilized, humane and spirtual society?
'Oh, the humanity.' Or should we say, the inhumanity?"
