As many of you know, I'm a big proponent of giving back to the local community when you travel.
In my video here, I talk about some of the experiences out there, particularly for boomers and multigenerational travelers.
But that doesn't mean you should just sign up and go. Not all voluntourism experience are built the same, so it's important to ask the right questions and assess your interest, physical ability and skill set. Read all you need know right here.
But what I want to know is whether you've participated in a volunteer vacation, whether it's three weeks in Peru or volunteering in a shelter in the Gulf Coast. Tell me about your trip and what you liked--and didn't like--about the trip.
