Aziz Makhani is the current featured fan of my fanpage, Retirees Obliterate Money Worries. He's also a client of Russell Burck Coaching for entrepreneurs. As his coach, I’m captivated by this story about how he developed his board game, KickShotRM, “Referee Hopes KickShot Kick-starts Knowledge,” in Referee Magazine (see link below).
I like the way he listened to feedback from other soccer experts and used it to improve the game. I like the way he looked at how small children hold the cards and saw that they can't easily keep all the cards in their hands. I like how he figured out a solution for that problem. I like it, but I'm not surprised. After all, he is an engineer.
All by itself, creating a product to generate income deserves top-of-our-voice hoorays. But Aziz went further. He made a product to make the world better. He took soccer, a part of the world that he knows well, and created KickShot to help children love soccer even more when they learn to combine the intelligence of strategy and tactics with the energy and passion of physical play.
