I really haven't watched any of her shows, beyond the first one .. which you correctly described as "ground-breaking". I didn't even watch, after they were supposed to have come into money .. which I figured would have been a little like the "Beverly Hillbillies".
Ironically, in channel surfing the other day, I caught what I think was an old episode of SNL, where they were doing a satirical sketch on Roseanne & Tom Arnold .. and whatever their show was at the time.
Roseanne may be right about the way Hollywood treats actors, and perhaps especially women, and those > 50. But she's "grown up in the business", and it probably hasn't gotten any worse .. it's just that now that she's older, she feels she's the victim of that "dismissiveness".
Don't some stars produce their own shows, so they have "the final say" on everything?
