My husband and I are finally buying a big motorhome so we can travel and camp more. Our kids are grown and we can still run our business while we travel. We have had smaller motorhomes and trailers for years. The problem we are noticing from our friends is they are making snide remarks about us buying a "big baller"motorhome (that is what they call it) now or you can' t camp with us in that thing with that or just because we bought a small motorhome you just had to show off with a bigger one. First of all my husband and I have been contemplating getting this motorhome for 2 years now because we had a feeling this would come up. I even am afraid to call my one friend who just bought a small motorhome because I am so worried about what they may say. I have never talked about or bragged about buying it because we didn't want anyone to turn up their noses at us. It got out to a lot of people because the motorhome we are buying is from another friend of ours and he is the one who spilled the beans. Now my husband and I are seriously thinking of not buying because of all the flack we are getting for it. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to handle this situation. Does this mean we shouldn't camp with our friends anymore because they have trailers and we have a motorhome per their comments? We are not the kind of people who would stick their noses up to people just because they have something that we don't have vise versa. We have some friends who own "big baller houses" jets, etc. and we don't criticize them because they have more then us. We are happy for them and their success and we are happy with just our home etc.
