Although health insurance is not a healthcare system or some healthcare service, it does effect and impact the cost of healthcare services a healthcare system provides.
We are 1 of 37 developed countries. The cost of healthcare services in our country are more than double what they are in any of those other 36 developed countries. Why?
We do not pay-for health insurance the way all of the people in all of those other 36 developed countries pay-for-it. That is why. That is the only reason why.
A side note on this: Despite our different kinds of governments, all of us developed countries have identical market based Capitalistic economic systems. What “how health insurance is paid-for” does to the economic system in each of those other 36 developed countries is another powerful selfish reason “why” we should do that here.
How we would do that is complicated. Why we would do that is not.
