I haven't been to the movies in a couple of months. yesterday,i went with friends and saw"The Monuments Men' based on a true story, book was written by Robert Edsel. The movie is about Allied Forces who are assigned to find stolen, priceless art treasures Hitler and his army have taken from different places in Europe. The group in this movie are art museum directors, art experts from U.S/France and England determine to find these treasures and return them to their owners.
It was a terrfic movie with a wonderful cast,Matt Damon,John Goodman,Bill Murray,Hugh Bonneville,Jean Dujardins,Cate Blanchett,Bob Balbadan. George Clooney stars,,co wrote the screenplay and directed it. In some scenes there was humor, others it was quite emotional. Some scenes in this movie reminded me of another wonderful movie,"Saving Private Ryan".I had read the book,it was a real history lesson, since I never knew about what these brave men accomplished under trying circumstances. The movie is based on the book,I highly recommend it Sue
