I definitely agree with you & not Warren Buffet .. but then again, he owns these companies, so he looks at it differently.
I've reached a point of considering even miniscule dividends a requirement, because it's a "bird in the hand" you have, even if the stock price goes back down to where you bought it (or below). There are NO guarantees for appreciation, but at least every quarter you get a dividend!
I also think that some companies get too comfortable not paying dividends, and even though they're in business for many years & making a huge profit, they just rather not commit to paying stockholders anything!
PS - WE ALL JUST GOT AN E-MAILED "DAILY DIGEST" OF NEW POSTS IN OUR GROUPS FOR THE LAST 24 HOURS. IT'S A LOT MORE HELPFUL THAN HUNTING THRU ALL YOUR GROUPS TO SEE IF ANYTHING HAS APPEARED! WE'RE HOPING THAT AARP IS STILL WORKING ON INDIVIDUAL REAL-TIME NOTIFICATIONS!
