ANYWAY HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY EVERYONE ....
Welcome to the group. I'm fairly new myself. I've never lived in Colorado but have been there many times. My mother and her family grew up in Kit Carson, east of Denver. When I was young my folks and I drove out there from Washington, D.C. to visit. My uncle, Kelsey, owned a Texaco gas station on the edge of town and my grandmother's house was right next door. I would get to pump gas for cars coming in from Cheyenne Wells during the day then in the evening I would walk across the street to see all the prairie dogs and jack rabbits come out of their holes. All you could see was prairie all the way to the horizon. After Kit Carson we would drive up to Denver where the rest of mom's family lived and worked. They lived in Lakewood and Wheat Ridge. I was out there just last summer for a visit. I drove up to Ft. Collins, back down through Rocky Mt. National Park, drove up Mt. Evans, then headed down your way to Colorado Springs and Garden of the Gods befor driving down to New Mexico to see Carlsbad Caverns and Santa Fe. Compared to Florida the whole Western landscape is really awesome. Florida has a warm and humid climate but it is basically one big, long, flat sandbar.
