Greene is unlikely to win the election, but if he did, it would result in the removal of Jim DeMint from the Senate, and that is a GOOD thing, since DeMint is a reactionary naysayer who is essentially a deteriment to the governing of this country.
Now that DeMint has an opponent that is becoming more well-known, he will have to spend more to defeat him.
Someone here said that Greene won the election, because all the South Carolinians knew he was Black because he spelled Greene with an e on the end. However, here in Florida, we havd a multimillionaire running for the Dem. Senate nomination who is a White guy named Greene as well.
I do not think that this but about Green vs. Greene is accurate, nor do I believe that Greene won because a majority of Democratic primary voters thought he was Black because of the spelling of his name. I imagine it would be more likely that his opponent either was unlikelable in some way, or simply because Greene came ahead of all his opponents on the ballot.
As a rule, simple explanations beat out complicated conspiracies.
