The political ties between corporations and politicians in some states is beyond the pale of democracy. So long as these politicians keep sidling up to these corporations, working class Americans will be at a serious disadvantage. The only real credo in all of this is our ability to publicly chastise wrongdoing in the media. If we allow the Koch billionaires to do what Rupert Murdoch has done...no media outlet will publish news...only biased tripe.
These billionaires are buying politicians like the Mafia bought lawyers and judges. They now want to buy the only source of American freedom left....a free press. If they get their way, the press won't be free much less unbaised. Or, as Rupert Murdoch stated in 2007, "My media will print what I want." Meaning? His media which comprises thousands of TV, radio, newpapers and magazines, will print in his far right ideological bent. Is that what we want in the US? One and only one view of news and media?
