Most trees can be cut down without a permit, This is a country, not a state, regulation, and it applies to certain types and sizes of trees. The problem is that this tree is immense, and chopped up would fill the entire lot and then some.
This entire housing evaluation is rather absurd. A person should buy a home because they need somewhere to live, not as an investment. Real estate is a crappy investment, because to sell a house, the prices must be high and rising, and the interest rates need to be low.
House flippers cause a lot of damage to people who just want a place to live, especially when they lie to get a govt. approved FHA or VA loan and have no intention of living in the place. At the very least, they should be fined in some way when they apply for a homeowner loan just to speculate. I doubt that this will ever happen, though. Realtors love flippers.
When I bought my house in 1977, I told the realtor the maximum amount I would pay, and not one house they showed me was at or under that amount. They always said "but your home is the biggest investment of your life", which of course is a statement that should apply only to morons. Houses are crappy investments because of the fluctuations in the market and in interest rates. If you want to invest in real estate, you should buy into a real estate fund or a REIT that you have checked out thoroughly. When the market starts to tank, you can sell shares in these things in under a day: no commissions., no broker fees, no closing cost crap.

I don't know in your area, but I know in Ft Lauderdale, you cannot cut an Oak tree, there are restrictions on that type of trees. Have no idea as to why. but my daughter has an Oak tree infront of her house that she knows that eventually will fall on her house, and the county will not give her permission to cut that tree, and the fines that they have mentioned are really high.
