It hardly took 'forever" and the debates had little influence on the proponents of the bill. There were more pressing problems in that first year of Dem control like the unemployment rise , the huge deficit, the tax system etc. that were not addressed. What do you call having sessions during Christmas time to "rush" the non health care reform bills through if not stampede or rushed?
In Response to Re: Will someone from the Right define the term "rushed"?:
I would have used the word "stampeded" rather than "rushed". The former is a better adjective to use in this context.

Now I really don't understand your response, If I remember correctly, it took forever to pass this law, I thought that it would never become anything. Why do so many say that it was rushed or "stampeded" as you suggest. please provide a timeline in which this law was first debated and when it was finally passed.

I cannot tell you exactly, but I remember that we discussed that bill at nauseaum right in this message board. when our Sarah Palin was speaking about "death panels" remember, to when there were televised meetings between Republicans, and Democrats, to I don't know how many more wirting and discussions occured before this bill was even considered in Congress. but I can tell you that it took the first two years of the Obama Administration, which I personally criticized as a tremendous waste of his time. and not taking care of the economy,. so again, rushed in congress. no one read it. estamped to ge the votes. Really!!!!, I guess that we suffer in this country from short term memory. that is why you can see poiticians peresently running and even winning when their character has been an issue they just simply have to say " please forgive me"

I remember a televised meeting after Obama promised "measured consideration " of alternatives in my presence that was a show for effect and no action taken on any suggestions. Instead within two weeks Obama signed the bills!
