In Response to This is the insanity the corporate elites peddle by Itbemedg
IBM is probably happy with the raise. IBM investors bought the stock believing that it would go up by over 11%, and this probably drove the stock price up. Those that sold a couple of days ago are probably happy. Those that sold IBM short, guessing that IBM would underperform are also happy. Those that invested and have not yet sold might still be happy, as IBM might increase in value.
The stock market is like lottery tickets, but with two major differences:
(1) The market does not gobble up half the money taken in, as your state does, before paying out.
(2) There are days in which nearly EVERY stock goes up. There are NO days where every lottery ticket wins, even a little.
What are we supposed to do about stock market news?
Understand how it works and perhaps profit from it.
Stay away from it and neither profit or lose.
