Interesting thing about working with Fortune 50 CEOs, you learn how they manipulate, deceive and pull off the most unimaginable skankola conceived.
There is more than enough proof that corporations are bilking consumers, employees and taxpayers....all to earn higher and more obscene profits. So when precisely is enough enough?
Take a good look at Big Insurance. You pay for 20 years for homeowner insurance. Then, disaster strikes and your file a claim...Sorry...Big Insurance already spent your premiums on their new BMWs, private jets and the rest of the frou frou ostentatious glitz they are addicted to. Buy a car and you pay for auto insurance. File a claim for an accident that isn't your fault? Sorry...not covered. Healthcare insurance? 35% of most American incomes today...file a claim? Sorry, you'll have to pay a $5,000 deductible first for your emergency room treatment and then tens of thousands in copays. This doesn't begin to count the cost of the meds you'll...oh gee...better take out yet another insurance policy that will restrict you from purchasing the med yours physician prescribed..Feel like you are ripped off yet? Wait...it gets better...every year utility companies ask the Board of Public Utilties in each state for rate increases. Then, Hurricane Sandy hits and power is out for a month...you still get an electric bill...with a page full of surcharges and "use" taxes. Just no help getting power back on. But comes times to restore all of the damage to power lines and generating stations...Well...Big Energy just runs to the Bd of Public Utilites and demands a 112% rate increase to "cover these costs." Of course, what none of these extortionists tell is that they've already gotten THEIR liability insurance checks to cover all that damage...But it's only consumers money...why fret over it?
