This pipeline will have a spill. The reason? Neither CanOil or Texas Big Oil Big Daddies will EVER guarantee in writing there won't be. What does that say about the potential for a Keystone Pipeline disaster? You are absolutely correct about it affecting the markets.
However, it is nearly impossible to trust those in today's markets to possess any level of integrity. To these profiteering fools, any disaster is an opportunity to cash in.
The reality of the Keystone Pipeline is that British Columbia didn't want it. Why should the US? The more serious reality that without a guarantee in writing of no potential for disaster, the Keystone Pipeline could conceivably spill into major waterways. Think about it. If a split occurs anywhere near northern Montana, the Marias River and its tributaries to the Missouri and Columbia Rivers would destroy all shipping on those major waterways. If the Missouri ends ups polluted from this filthy tar sand oil, so will the Mississippi by association.
The sneaky, cowards of Big Oil will ram this pipeline down our throats and then when a spill occurs...shove those costs onto taxpayers already dealing with massive costs of wildfires, massive flooding and tornadoes across the country. At what point will Big Oil man up and admit it's the cause of these disasters? Why is it everyone but the cowboy states know and see the damage their filthy oil industry is causing in terms of pollution costs and let's not forget...all those industry tax subsidies these Big Oil Bois live off of.
