In Response to Re: Re: Definition of Materialism by runner50
Your name unless you changed it for the new program on AARP, is fairly new.. On the last site I posted extensivly on environmental issues and have been an environmentalist for years, since the 60's.. Put my time in, with the crowds in front of the UN protesting on Black and Native American issues, and had until this change over been extremly vocal..I am a registered Democrat, yet my feelings about budgets, and spending into oblivian are more right.. that you got correct.. I see both sides to most issues, unless they are totally stupid.
I dont care a hoot for Obama's policies pushing on toward a 3rd world existance, personally i dont care beyond the issues. I did not like Bush either or Cheney who actually seemed to call the shots.
I dont believe in misusing the earth we live on, but i do respect the Bill of Rights and our Constitution, now does that make me a rightie? dont think so, it makes me an American, 2 of my great grandfathers fought in the Revelution, I am a member of the DAR, also had a relative in the French and Indian wars in CT. I have worked since i was 16, not because i had to but because i wanted to. I have owned 3 companies, So i have an American attitude about people, laws, and the country..I hate the idea of all those who have died, to keep the often silly society that permiates todays people with their phoney beliefs , therefore accounting for many of my attitudes and opinions, and admit that i have them. Now, perhaps you understand me better.
