In Response to Re: Top generals: Obama is 'purging the military':

In their younger years, people undergoing complex, painful revelations, transitions, surgery, and psychotherapy may not be the best security risks in the military or elsewhere. When these matters are resolved and in the rear view mirror only, that is a different matter. Why sacrifice our entire nation on the altar of political correctness? Not necessarily 'political correctness'. There was reasoning for past policies, but times are a'changing with the country becoming aware of differences in people [although there are some who hold on to their prejudiced ways]. In the past the policies was in place to prevent blackmail of individuals for national security and morale reasons, but change is coming slowly with more enlightment and tolerance. Now with acceptance those prejudices are being put behind, except in the minds of some people.
Who knows, in the future the country might even become more tolerant of backward and intellectually deprived individuals who are still living in the 19th century!!!
