You do not have to be an American citizen to own property in the US, so I'm wondering where your "confiscating property" is coming from.
You can answer that. Does the word "property" only mean real estate?
Is not a car or a watch or diamond ring or money called ones property? The distinction is between real property and ordinary property. Both can be confiscated though if used in the commision of a crime or purchased with the proceeds.
