Seems our resident Troll has taken over and instead of enjoying a discussion of the ever growing string of Reichwing debacles everybody is trying to insult the GOPer-dupes. Folks, a GOPer-dupe REVELS in stupidity - it's what makes them what they are and is the ONLY way they can continue to hold their core beliefs, namely that unless you're rich, white and old, you have no value.
While the SCOTUS votes on DOMA and Prop 8 are welcome news that America might finally leave the 18th Century regarding equality, the SCOTUS gutting of the Voting Rights Act sets the stage for a huge increase in GOPer-driven disenfranchisement of minorities, blacks, the poor and students.
The ever-forgetful Rick Perry immediately announced he will continue to push Texas into Voter ID-land, where State issued student photo ID's to the University of Texas will NOT let you vote, but a concealed-carry permit WILL. The reasoning behind this is simple: the possession of a University ID means you seek knowledge while the concealed carry paper says you want a chance to shoot somebody in their church. Obvious which group will vote Repug.
GOPer-s hate student voters - they tend to screw up all that very carefully designed Gerrymandering that allows a MINORITY of voters to control State Legislatures and the Congress.

What did you say? Sorry sir, here’s your ballot…Sorry, couldn’t help the sarcasm. We got so many Republican scams going on here in Texas it’s hard to keep up with them.
Voter ID? Just another Republican scam. The bait: voter fraud. The hook: less of us can vote.

Entirely too true, and now with the Fascist Five trashing the Voting Rights Act, the GOPers will be energized to pursue a myriad of voter suppression actions.
I keep hearing about a move to turn Texas Blue - seems a stretch given the wondrous job of Gerrymandering orchestrated by your former Senator and jailbird, BUT if they continue to pursue their Wars on Women, minorities, the young, the poor and the Middle class, it is eminently do-able. So sad that after all these years conservatives still think 1950 is the only "place to be".
