Sen. Dianne Feinstein's uintended point...
An unintended point was made in the exchange between Sen. Dianne Feinstein and Sen. Ted Cruz recently while debating on her assault weapons ban.I'm sure that if Sen. Dianne Feinstein had thought about it, she wouldn't have used the examples that she used to indicate her long experience and tenture in office. What Sen. Dianne Feinstein actually was saying was, don't question me, I am long in the ways of politics and the ways of Washington having played a hand in the "Wheeling and dealing that goes on all the time and I don't need a lecture from anybody on how its done. The statement made by Sen. Dianne Feinstein was,"I've been on this committee for 20 years....."I'm not a lawyer, but after 20 years I've been up close and personal to the Constitution...." The unintended point Sen. Dianne Feinstein made and a point that more and more people are beginning to see the wisdom in, was the need for Term limits for our elected office holders to see that they don't become too cozy with one another and start thinking thats "Its us,the Washington Politicians/ insiders, against the voters."
Dianne Feinstein saying, "I've been on this committee for 20 years... just emphasized the need for our elected officials not being allowed to remain in office forever. Sen. Dianne Feinstein didn't intend to point out the wisdom of having 'term limits,' but she did make that point quite well, I thought.
