I have in the past found little to like and admire about liberal Jon Steward or his show but his interview with Barack Obama made me reassess my opinion of him... at least for the moment.
I'm sure that Jon Stewart hasn't had a transformation from a flaming liberal to a conservative but Jon Stewart when confronted with words out of the presidents mouth while on the show and from Obama's past promises he made had to go with it. as one Commentator remarked," The audience wasn't laughing with Barach Obama, they were laughing at him." The moments when the truths were revealed about Obama's rhetoric not matching his actual deeds were golden, for instance when the following remarks were made.
"STEWART: You wouldn't say you would run this time as a pragmatist. You would not- It wouldn't be yes, we can, given certain conditions.
OBAMA: No. I think what I would say is, yes, we can. But-" " [Stewart starts laughing.] STEWART: "You ran on very high rhetoric, hope and change. And the Democrats this year seem to be running on, "Please, baby, one more chance." Now, what do you know that we don't know about?"
Then Jon Steward later on in the show addresses Obama with this recognition and opinion of Barack Obama and his less than steller performance by calling the president "dude." Its apparent now that Obama with all his promises of a better tomorrow if he were to be elected president has only managed to leave us disillusioned and sadly wiser for the experience. The audience had to laugh at the president when the liberal outed Him.
