When a American buys a foreign car or any product made in a foreign owned plant even though Americans may profit in some way isn't the point. My objection to buying products made in foreign owned plants who's owners are from a foreign coutry is that the foreign country has gained a good degee of control over this country, this countries politics and the way it deals with other countries. Also, If we are forced to go to war can we depend on foreign countries to supply us with what we need to fight that war especially if the countries we would be asking for help in supplying our war supplies is more friendly to the country that America has gone to war with. In order to be independent and remain independent we have to have the means of manufacturing our own needs whatever those needs might be at any one time. We can't remain independent if we have to depend on a foreign country's good will. The financial problems this country is facing in large part can be traced to our decline in capabilities to manufacture products which is harmful to this country in jobs, income and in security for the country and it citizens. Remember, when you buy foreign, America pays a price.
