I signed up this year with the United Health Care for a plan with no deductible because they had an extensive formulary. So far, their co-pays for the drugs that I have been prescribed that are in their formulary are higher in general than the actual cost of the drugs themselves, so they pay nothing.
I thought that the definition of a co-pay was a part of the actual cost, not an inflated figure to permit the Plan to pay nothing.
I use very few drugs, and the ones that are prescribed that has occasioned this post are targeted for a particular infection condition with a drug resistant bacteria, and I'm getting generics.
To say that I am unhappy with this plan would be an understatement.
Are there any prescription drug plans out there for Mississippians that do not use this trick to keep from paying out? I certainly do not intend to sign up with United Health again. And I wonder why AARP is in their pockets when they provide so little for the Medicare funds they receive and my premium?
