In Response to RE: The Five and Ten Cent Store by coffeedrinker
S. S. Kresge, and F. W. Woolworth both had lunch counters. I think my mother preferred Kresges. There was also J. J. Newberry no lunch counter though. My revolving stool memory is from a locally owned drug store ( probably a Rxall drugstore) that not only had the stools but also had large overhead revolving fans and a soda fountain. I can still remember the smell of that place.
