Great post PattyDianne.
I enjoyed reading your account of the Furniture you live with. It made me think about all the stuff I have. It is an unusual collection of, you could say, international items. When my late husband and I moved to the United States, since he was transferred by the company he was working for, we were allowed to bring our furniture, most of the pieces were from Mexico, but John had some items from his previous marriage which came from Holland and Canada where he used to live. After we were established in California, we bought some large items like a nice bedroom set with a dresser with large mirrors (I still have that old thing) as you can see, there was quite a combination of furniture which has been disappearing with the years. I kept most of the decorations, like little Dutch vases, dinnerware and wall carpets, few corner tables, typical Mexican articles which are displayed in a very special shelving that John made for me I treasure these items because of the memories they bring back every time I look at them.
