I am a 68 year old retired legal secretary looking for a part time work from home job.  I have been keeping my skills up by serving as the secretary-treasurer for my condo association for the past 11 years.  I am willing to work four to six hours per day.

I am at my wits end!  Have had several interview with Banks and they are looking for either a f/t/or p/t Teller for which I have many years of experience plus a college degree. Guess what?  nothing ever comes of these meetings, both the branch personnel and the recruiters never get back to you.  Age discrimination is alive and well and DEFINITEY flourishing in South Florida..  One Bank in particular, is a flagrant violator and we will meet in the EEOC chambers when my complaint is heard.

After reading the above posts, it reinforces the fact that jobs are scarce. Might have something to do with down-sizing that has been prevalent in the Economy since ....the 70's? That doesn't mean there isn't much to do 'out there'. Finding the proper fit is the key.
Let's look at this another way. Many of us have decades of experience in Life: (work, home, Family, Services and on it goes.) The knowledge base on this Forum alone is mind-boggling. Each one of us has his/her own area(s) of expertise, own passions, own causes and own experiences, likes, dislikes.

Does anyone realise that there are people searching the World for that knowledge, the guidance you learned 'the hard way', etc..? Do you know they are willing to part with cash to get the answers to their questions right away? Does that sound like a way to create some income. (not get rich quick, folks)

One problem: they neither know You nor where to find You. And..if you had just a wee hint of a clue someone sought information you have...and take for granted...something you learned a long time ago, or maybe just yesterday, You'd probably answer their question...in a heart-beat and be glad you could help. Right?

Well - what if there was a way to make your knowledge available - something that you were really passionate about? Building cars, a favourite pass-time / hobby. To be compensated for it? or maybe just to build something that could last a long time providing help or...heck...just to have some fun instead of being trapped within 4 walls.

If this has piqued your interest - drop me a direct note and I'll gladly share a link that can help you. Be sure to indicate a subject that you feel strongly about or are passionate about or a skill-set you are proud of that excites you.

Here to be helpful.  Keep Smiling!

I love to work on proofreading, spreadsheets, and medical coding. I have low blood pressure so get dizzy and need to work from home. If you have anything part-time or even temporary please let me know.

Do you think you were discriminated because of age? If so, remember, that your Driver's license no. carries the year of your birth. the middle no. in your driver's license is  the year of your birth. If you are not require to drive because of your job, I would be careful of what you put when they ask your for your driver's license.

Don't forget to check into the generic meds - there's one for just about everything and Kroger, Walmart, etc. here in TN cost $4.00 for ea. prescription.  You may already know this - just sayin':)

I'd love to find some type of internet job................I'm a 68 year old female who lives in Florida and I'm so bored staying at home. I've applied for lots of jobs but nothing comes of it...........it's really frustrating. I know I certainly can use the money what with health care and medication where they are now it's scarey, so just want something to enjoy and make a little cash would be great.

Yes, I'm looking for a part-time job. I enjoy working with people. I live in Lithonia, GA and I've worked 30 years in an hospital setting. At this point, I want to work part-time; to help ends meet. I understand Walmart (Greeter) or Best Buy as an Sale Associate may be good jobs....HELP!
