It is difficult for big companies that have been in business a long time; let alone a new business that will probably fail due to government what you have to pay; not what you can afford, etc. all the petty taxes that little communities want to put on you to make sure they get their share, etc. vivian

Yes! I did always want to be my own boss. After working as an RN for 23 years, I wanted to be able to set my own hours, take vacation when I wanted to, and mostly be my own boss. I have done that now, and although I work just as hard as I did in the medical field, working hard for yourself is very different, and much more fulfilling. I no longer have that Sunday dismay of having to get through another week. Now I love what I do, I'm good at what I do, and I love the mixture of being home and working. Plus I can take my business with me wherever I go, I only need my cell and my laptop. Don't listen to people that say it's too late. At 55, I have re-created my career in the manner I want it to be. |

I went from a large retail store to just working out of my home. I have a website and I sell alot to the Government. Almost all of my suppliers will ship right to my customers for me so I don't have to handle the products. It's been a good business. We're able to take trips. We were able to move to be closer to the grandkids and kids. Posted by GaryGuns Could you give me some ideas to star up a small business or go self employed? Based on your experience would be wonderful.. I will be laid off in one month and I don't want to work for anybody else anymore, I want my own business Thanks so much |

i want to start a day care in my home. But don't know where to start. I neede to find out where can i go to sart my small business. I am going for licensing orientation on May 22 in Sacramento. But before i go i wanted to know who can help me to where to start |
