I was divorced after 10 years of marriage. I became disabled and was forced to discontinue working. I'm having dificulty living on what I receive on disability but heard that I may have benefits from my ex-husband SS. Will I be notified (he is 62) when he retires?

Posted by bellawella02 You worked so you also have benefits of your own - So what you need to do is check with Social Security. If you are getting SSDI (Social Security Disability) now, that will stop when you start getting regular (OA) Social Security - either as "spousal" under his benefits or under your own benefit - which ever is better. |
