In Response to Social Seurity and Graqndchildren Benefits:
Does anyone have experience with raising a Grandchild and receiving benefits when retiring? I have raised my 11yr old since he was born, have legal custody and will continue to do so untilhe graduates college: Can I get benefits added to my own SS for him?

Only if his parents are deceased.
Otherwise, you can get child support from them - one or both.
Check with your state because much of the eligibility for assistance with the grandchild will be based on income and assets.
