Hello to everyone. This is my first time on the Message Board. I am concerned about Social Security because I will be 62 October and am trying to collect information about applying.

Hello to everyone. This is my first time on the Message Board. I am concerned about Social Security because I will be 62 October and am trying to collect information about applying. I am wondering how long Social Security will be in existence. I heard Romney say he was going to get rid of Social Security. Did anyone else hear that? Also, what do you all think about this voucher program for Medicare. I am concerned about that as well. At the present I do not have medical insurance. To think of all the years that I have worked and paid into Social Security and Medical, and now am looked about as if our well being is looked at as if we are a part of the economic problem. I am not hearing much from Obama nor Romney about these issues. What about you all? It looks like I am going to be a senior that will have to work to supplement my social security (if it still exists) to live somewhat comfortable. I hoping to learn a lot from this Message Board.
