I received a letter from Legal Claimant Services ( LCS) advising me that the located a mutal fund that belong to my late husband (he passed away 10 years ago).   This service specializes in locating accounts that are dormant or in need of attention and reuniting them with the original account owner's proper legal claimants.

I called the LCS, and they adivsed me that the mutal fund will be divided  (3) ways.....  between my husband's two children and myself.   They will keep 25 percents upfront for the recovery fee.

After my husband passed away, I check the unclaimed property for KS (my husband lived and worked there) and IL (he used to live in Chicago). There were no unclaimed property listed for my husband .

Have any one deal with his services?.   Is this a scam?

Thanks.

Shirley
