In Response to Re: Cutting Social Security and Medicare : Could someone  please tell me  why we have to pay for medicare when we pay into it our whole working life.Isn't that an entitlement ? I think this another way for the goverment to double dip.

By Federal law, Part B premiums are set to cover 25 percent of the cost of Medicare's outpatient care benefit.   The federal law also says that -- with some exceptions -- an individual's Medicare premium cannot go up more than their Social Security COLA.
