I hope to be able to adopt a young woman's baby, but I need help with expenses such as paying down my mortgage.  My ex and I divorced in 2006 and he took the mortgage free house and left me with a gigantic mortgage.  After 23 years of mental and emotional abuse I couldn't take it any longer and didn't care if I owed the world.  I threw him out and he wanted to leave me with nothing.  It's not in me to announce my pain to the world, so I gave away everything I had to regain my self respect.  I never had children and I feel as though God is calling me to provide for this new life.  The parents are too young and in too caught up with their own issues to be able to provide a good life for their child.  I hope and pray they will allow me the privilege to raise their child in a safe and loving environment.  I have already refinanced my mortgage 3 times and unfortunately I don't see any pay raises on their way because of the economy.  I am very fortunate that I have health insurance through my employer and I have been employed for over 13 years with the same employer.  I offer a stable home and I am honest and hard working.  I follow the rules but I am not a follower.  I believe children should be raised in a Christian home with loving parents in order to be strong and caring individuals as adults.  If anyone has any suggestions, I would be truly thankful.
