In Response to Re: Which state would you most like to live in during retirement?: Arizona....the weather is fantastic and multitudes of scenery ...from forests north and east .....hot desert south and the best weather in the middle of the state ...can drive 1 hr to the snow and 1 hr to the warm winter weather in Phoenix.... Prescott is the place to be .... Posted by akweidler Sounds great to me! I don't think I will take you up on the drive to the snow! Wife and I are planning on coming out next winter. What would be the best time during the winter to come out and what towns or area's would you recomend we visit to get a feel if we would like it out there? Thanks! |

In Response to Re: Which state would you most like to live in during retirement?: Pennsylvania - all our family is here and we get the change of the seasons. Posted by Dan86 Delaware, because we currenly live in NY and the taxes and prices are just driving everybody out of the State. One of the drawing points to me are the beaches and no sales taxes on most purchases. However, I see a lot of planned communities there that are very appealing where the houses are bought but the lots are rented. As far as I know where there is no rent control. One drawback to living down there is I don't know how good the parttime employment is for people in their 60's who are too young to fully retire. Does anyone have any suggestions? |
