Gulf Coast of Florida.  No snow or freezing rain.  Cost of living is less.  I will be saving at least $400. on my vechicle insurance.  Utilities and cable are also much less. You get a lot more for your money since we will be living on a fixed income.

Alaska. There are no sales taxes or income taxes, at age 65 we get $150'000.00 forgiven off our property taxes. They have great senior services, the PFD (permanent fund dividend) for residents. The weather isn't as harsh as the northeast.

Phoenix Arizona. The sunshine is fabulous! No Est Coast depression here. People think it it just HOT but for the most part it is quite nice. No snow but some cooler winter weather. Go from air conditioned house to air conditioned car to air conditioned store or office, etc. In north go from heated house to heated car to heated store, etc without all the boots and gloves and coats. I moved here from Maine 18 years ago and would never go back. No tornatoes, earthquakes or hurricanes. And all the flowers, wow! Drive a couple hours north if you want snow. There are definitely four seasons you just get to skip the ice and snow.

So. Nevada,,,no hurricanes, earthquakes, tonados or snow.  Its high desert so we still have some green.  Get just enough rain so no flooding.     Winters are mild and taxes low.  The small town i live in the air is clean and the water the best in the country.   I like the dry climate for health reasons.   Its also very affordable.  No state tax or inheritance tax.  Also very cheap to buy a home here.  Lots of retired people here.

I agree - Heladsburg has grown soince I was there - 1962. My favorite sotres were Garret's Hardward and of course the donut shop in the strip mall.  My brother and his gfamily are still there and enjoying everything except the poltics of California which is why I left. I do wish you the happiest tomes and don't for get to float the Russian rteiver in late May befopre the tourist invade it in June-September.
