What is your status - are you still looking?  Rich

In Response to THERE HAS TO BE SOMETHING:
It’s been months since my last job and 8+ hours on the computer looking for a job. Everyone talks about 'networking', so I network and have gotten nowhere, except met up with a lot of people I use to work with and new ones. But frankly I don’t see where this is paying off unless you have 'executive’ background which I do not. At least when we all did face to face they had answered you in person, now they just ignore you.   I am just a ‘normal’ person like most of you.   Going back to school also is not an option, financial wise.   I would like someone to explain to me how networking pays off. I mean a lot of people don’t even answer you back, networking, and networking. PLEASE TELL ME THE SECRET, SO THE REST OF US CAN GET JOBS.

Networking is not what I thought. Let me give you an example of a different networking experience I had. I was shopping at Kohl's in the Bra department and noticed a woman that looked like she might be a salesperson. She wasn't but we began talking and I mentioned I was looking for a job and she mentioned she worked for an agency and gave me the name. (It was not something that I was interested in, but it gave me a whole new perspective on networking) Just getting out and meeting people and talking without using job hunting as solo topic might be the answer. It's at least more fun.
