In Response to Re: any tips on electric convertors for use in Europe?: There are a lot of adaptor kits available at places like Walmart that have a variety of outlet adaptors (UK, Europe, ASIA, AUST/NZ, etc.). Take only the ones you need like the UK and Europe pieces, if that is where you are going. Almost all cruise ships and major river cruise boats in Europe use the North American standard. Most GPS systems, iPods, etc. have specialized adaptor kits to recharge them as well. Most hotels, B&B's etc. have hair driers supplied in the room or at the desk as well as adaptors.
