Terms and conditions at Budget are not what they seem. Recent trip in October 2012 included cross border travel. In our case, from Italy to Croatia. Budget's Terms and Conditions allow travel from Italy to Croatia. You can even call them and they will say the same. You can do an on-line chat and tghey will say the same thing. The check-in desk will also say no problem. Don't believe it. Budget cars are not supplied with the proper vehicle documentation to cross borders and you will be turned back. Find another car rental company. |

Agree there are many fine print and then you get surprises with your bill. Different company similar experience. When I try to fight the charges using the credit card, did not do it. Simply they said deal directly with the vendor. The var was rented in Croatia, which I believe are extremely corrupt country, did not help. I simply swalowed the chrages because was becoming more expensive to call, my time and agrevation were not worth it the $100 difference. Good lucj |
