In Response to Travel to Puerto Vallarta Mexico: I agree, Puerto Vallarta is a wonderful vacation location and should be on everyone's planning list, but there are so many more opportunities for wonderful vacations in Mexico, especially in the colonial regions of central Mexico. Don't limit yourself to just the toyrist resorts but go see the REAL MEXICO Is Puerto Vallarta Mexico in your travel plans? It not it should be. If you have not been to Puerto Vallarta you will find the town family friendly, with English spoken freely, and the residents who are honest and engaging. Last year we had seven couples join us in Puerto Vallarta, only one had been there before. My friends continue to rave about the many wonderful sights, and sounds at such reasonable costs. All had a wonderful time and several already booked their return. If you have not been back within the last two years you’ll be pleasantly surprised with the many updates and renovations. The improvements made to the Malecon, municipal pier, marina, old town and Nuevo Vallarta are stunning and inviting. Mexico recently has been receiving negative press similar to some of our cities in the past. It wasn’t fair to us in the US and it’s not fair to Mexico today. The Mexican people and their country are inviting, those articles have hurt the hard working families who are trying to make a living. If you choose to book at an all inclusive resort please make it a point venture beyond the resort and into the city, you’ll find you to will fall in love Puerto Vallarta and its people. There is so much to do, taste and see If you can, make it a point to visit the Malecon on a Sunday night. That’s when the local residents fill the town and the Malecon buzzes with the families and many free activities and shopping bargains. Go, enjoy and have a great time. Posted by donaldmsullivan |

In Response to Re: Travel to Puerto Vallarta Mexico: No, my wife and I live full time in retirement at Lake Chapala in the community of Ajijic. This is in central Jalisco, the same state as Puerto Vallarta, and about 4-5 hours drive east of PV and the Pacific Ocean. Sounds wonderful, do you live there full-time? Posted by LynneG |

Posted by donaldmsullivan We have been visiting P.V., as the regulars call it, for many years. It is my favourite place in the world. Beautiful, great people, wonderful food, maybe the best in the world. All inclusive is a waste because you miss out on all the great restaurants. And the Malecon is a must. Don't miss the band and all the folks dancing in the city square on Sunday night, I think. |
