new england vacation help

my wife and I have wanted to go to new england for several years, but have no idea what part we would enjoy the most. We like to view the water, eat fresh fish, and mosey around in little shops, etc. Basically our idea of a vacation is a room facing the ocean where we can watch fishing boats, dolphins, gulls, etc.. anything to do with the water. We prefer places that don't cater to kids. (don't get me wrong, we like kids, but we had 4, have 10 grandkids, 2 greats with a 3rd coming..lol) If anyone could make suggestions, we'd appreciate it. cape cod sounded good, but someone told us there is nothing there, and its boring..Any suggestions? We're both in our 70's. |

The Cape is nice, Dennis is an artsy town that you might enjoy with shops, summer theatre, etc. Posted by LynneG I think Provincetown is very nice, and you can go whale watching, there, plus enjoy the theater.
