Hi, I am from Ireland, and live in Co. Wateford,  and started the AARP Group 'Ireland Calling!'  after I had been over in America and met all sorts of people who were so welcoming and clearly interested in Ireland.
Recently, I was at a Writer's Festival about 30 miles from where I live and I was really taken by the point that we don't necessarily have to physically go to places to experience them. I like to think that Ireland Calling! is a way that people can 'travel' to Ireland and connect with Irishness. AARP, in general, has given me wonderful insights into America and I have 'met; some wonderful people through it.  So, maybe we need to 'redefine' what we mean by travel. Hopefully, 'destination' will be 'friendship' wherever we go! Jean

I was fortunate to have the opportunity to spend a recent weekend in a little fishing village in Co. Cork, just over an hour away from where Ilve. Here is a Slideshow which gives a flavour of Beautiful Ballycotton. I hope you enjoy it!
.

Warm wishes from Ireland.

Jean
