If you like to hike Utah has some great national parks.  Fly to Las Vegas, NV and rent a car there.  It's only a 2-3 hour drive to Zion Nat. Park.  Capitol Reef and Bryce Canyon Nat. Parks are pretty close by.  All of them have some great hiking trails and the scenery is mind blowing.  I spent a few days hiking and taking photos then headed back to Las Vegas for a couple of days to relax before flying back to Florida.  Rental cars are fairly low cost in Vegas as are the hotel rooms.  I don't gamble and there's no pressure to do so.  As of this writing deluxe rooms at the Gold Coast hotel are $49!  You can't beat that with a stick.  Other hotels right on the Strip have similar prices.  I'm going back out there this coming September to do it again!
