Silver Seniors and Social Media?

This article seems a bit outdated, especially since so many seniors are far beyond learning the basics of social media.

And, the silver seniors label seems very condescending, doesn't it?

Social Media for Seniors

I think of those "Silver Alerts" when I read about silver seniors Laughing

So maybe you have a good point.  But I would imagine that any seniors who can use social media to their advantage may not be as "silver" as the word suggests.  If they have recurring trouble with social media, then the description may turn out to be more appropriate after all.

I understand why you would think that labeling the group of seniors in the article would not be a good thing, Betty,

In fact, I was thinking that it would probably be better to keep the group name more simple, and to just use something simple like you did when you posted the link for the article--"Social Media for Seniors."

It's to the point and it tells you what the course is going to be about without there having to be anything "descriptive" about the group in it, like "silver foxes," or "silver seniors, etc."

I know seniors that are at all different skill levels regarding computer use, and social media use, too.
