You're wondering about a social network?  You happen to be on one -- and with people basically your own age.  Similar histories among you, but I see very little interaction.  I notice that posts are being read, but very few put finger to keyboard and type.
Get in there -- your new friends are waiting.  You don't have to traipse from Facebook to Twitter, etc. etc.

Let's see more of you in these forums and blogs!!

I am sorry to say that I have searched many groups on AARP and even though they say there are 200 plus members , there is hardly no conversation going on.  It seems hard to actually have a discussion here.

AARP has a very nice message board here.

I am just taking a guess here, but I think that maybe people tend to focus more on Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter now as a way of communicating with others, instead of message boards in general.

I didn't even know that AARP had any message boards, until I took a good look around the whole AARP website and found them, so maybe it is true of others as well--that they don't even know that the message boards are even here? Just making mention of it and putting that thought out there.
